Cookie Notice
How DigiTusk uses cookies and similar technologies on this website.
Effective date:
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to website owners. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and tags — work in comparable ways and are covered by this notice.
Our approach
DigiTusk takes a minimal-tracking approach. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural profiling, or third-party marketing trackers. The website is designed to function without storing identifiers on your device wherever possible.
Cookies and storage we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as submitting the contact form or interacting with embedded widgets.
- Session storage:
- a small in-browser flag is set to indicate that the navigation entrance animation has played during your visit. This is cleared when you close the browser tab and is not transmitted to any server.
3.2 Analytics (cookieless)
- Vercel Analytics:
- we use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. This service does not set cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information by default. Data is aggregated and anonymised.
3.3 Third-party widgets
When you choose to interact with embedded third-party services on our site, those services may set their own cookies on your device. These are governed by the third party’s own cookie and privacy policies, not by DigiTusk:
- Cal.com:
- our consultation booking widget. May set cookies to manage your session, prevent abuse, and remember your preferences while booking. See https://cal.com/privacy for details.
3.4 What we do NOT use
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioural advertising tracker.
- Cross-site advertising cookies.
- Marketing automation cookies.
- Fingerprinting techniques.
Managing cookies
You have full control over cookies in your browser. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored.
- Delete cookies individually or all at once.
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites.
- Browse in private/incognito mode to limit storage.
Useful links: aboutcookies.org provides browser-specific instructions. You can also clear local storage and session storage from your browser’s developer tools.
Do Not Track
Our website respects Do Not Track (DNT) signals where technically feasible. Because Vercel Analytics is already cookieless and anonymous, your privacy is protected regardless of your DNT setting.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice if we change the technologies we use. The latest version will always be available at digitusk.co.za/cookies with the effective date shown at the top.
